Please reach us at eighthpress@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
No. Vanity presses make money by asking authors to pay for "publication packages", and make money again by taking a percentage of a book's earnings. Eighth Press will not ask you to pay for any part of the publication process. We want to publish your novel because we love your story and we believe other readers will love it too.
It's not what, but when and how.
You could hire and editor and a cover artist for yourself, but we can absorb those up-front costs for you.
You could learn how to format a book or pay someone to format it for you - or you could let us handle the technical parts of producing a book and focus on writing great stories.
You could market all on your own, spending the time and resources required to find traction for your book... but wouldn't it be better to have us double down on that marketing effort and help coordinate reviews, podcast appearances, and book signings?
A small press exists to put finances, enthusiasm, and hours behind your work to make it polished and help it reach your readership. Eighth Press wants to do that for you.

Ways we help include:
We can also help brainstorm ways for you to market your book within your network, maximizing your reach!
There is no small press that can make a promise in terms of quantity. The average sales for any book published in the United States is 250 copies, so we always hope to help you reach more readers than that. What we can and will promise you is that we will leverage our enthusiasm, effort, and marketing to sell as many copies as possible.
